Boomtown, North Dakota

Better late than never?  We travelled up to Watford City to visit our not-so distant cousins Paolo Jr and Brandi.  They live in a modern day oil boomtown.  New fracking technology allows a 98% success rate in oil drilling.  Just a few years ago, this town had barely 2000 residents.  Now, it sees 10x as many people roll through in a day.  You can see the flares all the way to the horizon as they burn off the natural gas.  We also took a day to visit Roosevelt NP and their really cool prairie dog town.
